Back to Africa
The first album of Elefant'O

Elefant'OBorn after a hot night of love between acoustic instruments and jazzy electro, Elefant'O drives us into some highly intimate melodic territories.

For this effervescent project, Stefano got surrounded by a musical tribe of no equivalent. On enchanting flute, snake charmer Lionel Cugnon; Rodolphe Minuit's magic fingers, delivering shining chords from his acoustic guitar, bass and Rhodes. And Fred Melosax wose carribbean saxophone resonates with brio, inside this velvety atmosphere.

As the conductor of this delightful melting-pot, Stefano promises an irresistible and yet unique mixture. Himself, always been appealed by the colorful sound of Hossam Ramzy, Mory Kanté, Olivier Mtukudzi, Toumani Diabate, Najwa Karam, Papa Wemba or Tosca, to name but a few ...
Be sure to get the most melodic results with a hybrid piece full of half-caste tones. The bass caresses your hips while the electronic beat grabs your ankles; now just follow the brasses into the choregraphy.

"Back To Africa" released on Patchwork records will be available in any good music store near you for september 2008. But you've been warned, this is some highly addictive material, so listen at your own risks.

Rodolphe Minuit
Guitarist, Bassist, Rhodes musician on "Back to Africa"

Rodolphe Minuit, Guitariste, Bassiste, Rhodes (France) After having worked for several years for the pess editorials, Rodolphe Minuit decided to go back to school again and entered the C.I.M.( Jazz and current music School) in 1994 in order to study musical arrangement and orchestration.

It is there that he met Lionel Cugnon, the flute player, that introduced him later to Stefano Piredda for the Elefant'O project. Then he entered the music Academy and studied harmony and counterpoint for 5 years.

In 2000 he sets up Paris Rose & Resistance with Rico Ganive (from the french team « Les Innocent ») but unfortunately the electro pop project was never born. At that time He is then both a guitar teacher and a composer. Published by Kosinus in 2003, with heterogeneous specialities : the depressing pop "Dark Drama CD" and french music "café de Paris CD". Là j'arrive pas à traduire (surtout franco francaise lol)

He also performs on stage as a guitar player, in bands such as Kassandra", "Solia & Rodolphe" and more recently "Rosa" that he set up with Sandrine Roche.

In 2005 he meets up with Stefano aka Elefant'O in which he expresses new talents for writing (Rhodes, Bass and Guitar).
